Klein has sold over 25,000 of the tools in this post on Amazon in the last month, so I bought them to see why. These are the best Klein Tools worth your money, most under $50. I also cover the one Klein tool I would send back.
The Short Answer
- Best Klein Tools for the money: the Micro Ratchet Set, under $30 and selling over 1,000 a month.
- Most viral: the Flip Socket with Screwdriver Handle, which hides a full metric set under the SAE sockets.
- Best buy-once kit: the KNECT Master Set. It is over $100, and I think it is worth every penny.
- Skip it: the Klein inspection camera. It costs about $100 and I could never get it to connect.
- This is not sponsored. I bought everything myself except one pocket knife.
Best Klein Tools Worth Buying in 2026
Most of these tools are under $50, and some are under $30. The ones that cost more earned their spot. I bought every tool here with my own money, except one pocket knife I will flag when we get to it.
If you only buy three Klein tools, start with these. They cover the most ground for the least money.
Best Klein Tool Under $30: Micro Ratchet Set
This is the one selling over 1,000 a month, and it is under $30. You get the mini ratchet, a bunch of bits, and an extension. The extension is magnetic inside, so it holds whatever bit you drop in.
Pull the extension off and it gets super low profile for tight spots. It also comes with a quarter inch adapter. If you find your 10 millimeter socket, you can run it on this little ratchet. For around $25, this is an impulse buy you will not regret.

Klein Flip Socket Screwdriver With a Hidden Metric Set
This one went viral after I posted a short on it. It looks like a nut driver, and it is well made and impact rated. Each flip socket has two sizes, like a quarter inch on one end and 5/16 on the other. Flip it around and you are on the other size.
The secret is underneath. Pull the SAE sockets off and there is a full metric set hiding below. You can run the sockets in the screwdriver handle or chuck them right into an impact driver. People went nuts over it because it is priced well and genuinely useful.

Best Klein Socket Kit: KNECT Master Set
This is the kit I wish I had bought first, and I think most people would be happier starting here. It has both metric and SAE, a ratchet, an extension, a full set of flip sockets, driver bits, a screwdriver handle, and a few drill bits. There is also a quarter inch adapter for your current sockets.
It is over $100, but I think it is worth every penny. The sizes are laid out where you can see them at a glance. Everything adapts to an impact, and it all lives in a ModBox compatible case. If you want to buy once and cry once, this is it.

Klein also makes a wrench that replaces your adjustable wrench, and I covered it in my roundup of new tools at Lowe's for 2026.
Watch Me Go Through Every Klein Tool
The video shows the flip sockets swapping ends, the pass-through sockets working, and the inspection camera refusing to connect.
Klein KNECT Pass-Through Socket Sets
I had zero idea these existed before Klein made them. Klein is not the first to market, but I think they executed it very well. The bolt passes through the socket and the ratchet. Tighten it down and the tool slides right back off.
That means you often do not need a separate deep well set. Pop in the extension, put the socket on the end, and now it works as a deep socket. Basically, every socket becomes two. The starter set comes with a flip socket set, a ratchet, a screwdriver handle, and extensions. It is a good way to dip your toe in.

Is Klein ModBox Worth It?
For me, ModBox and Packout are tied at the top. The rails let you add attachments, and I keep the ModBox drawers on a shelf in my shop for extra storage. My first thought was that they looked like cheap plastic. They are not. They are well made, and the drawers have real drawer slides.
The attachments are where it gets good. You can mount your ModBox bit and socket cases, hang cords on the side hook, and clip tape measures to the tool carrier. The new D handles work for clipping gear or as tie downs in a truck bed. All of it also attaches to the portable workbench, which is one of the coolest portable workbenches you can get.

Best Klein Screwdriver Sets
Klein Precision Micro Ratchet and Driver Bit Set
I think this set is under $40. It has nut drivers, precision tips, and the mini ratchet. If you want the mini ratchet but not all those sockets, look at this kit instead.
It comes with two extensions, one for nut drivers and one for precision bits. The extension locks at several notches, so you only use the length you need. The top spins like any good precision screwdriver, and it all comes in a ModBox compatible case.

Klein KNECT Impact Rated Screwdriver Set
I like this set a lot. You get a pile of bits and a magnetic extension. The best part is the flip nut driver, with 3/8 inch on one end and 5/16 on the other.
Drop the nut driver into the screwdriver for a self contained tool. For smaller bits, pop in the adapter and you are off to the races. These are impact rated too, so they go right into your impact.

Klein Tru-Grip Screwdriver With Stubby
This is one of my favorite screwdrivers Klein has put out in the last year or so. The bulb on the end gives you a better grip, so you get more torque on whatever you are driving. The magnetic tip takes any bit you want.
Pop the back off and you have a stubby screwdriver with extra bits stored inside. It is a simple design that solves a real problem.

Klein Inspection Camera Review: Why I Would Skip It
This is the one Klein tool I would not buy. The Amazon photos showed it inspecting a gutter, and I figured I could use it the same way. It is not cheap, at about $100.
I followed the instructions every time and got the same error saying it could not connect. The manual is not well written either. It could be operator error, but I cannot figure out the error, so I cannot fix it. The reviews point the same way, so I will probably send it back.

Klein Electrician's Pocket Knife Review
Full disclosure: this is the only tool in this post Klein sent me. They sent it several months ago and did not ask for anything in return. Everything else I bought myself.
I have carried it for two or three months, and it replaced the pocket knife I carried every day. It is now my favorite. I like the sheepsfoot blade and the crossbar lock. The screwdriver locks at 90 degrees or straight out, and the flip bit switches between Phillips and flathead without collapsing on your hand. It also has a wire stripper if you are an electrician.

Klein Moisture Meter, Angle Gauge, and Angle Finder
The pinless moisture meter is the one people overlook. Lay it on the board, hardwood or softwood, and it reads the moisture content. If it is really high, you know not to use that lumber yet. It works better than some of the budget friendly meters I have tried.

The digital angle gauge is great for blade setup. Set it on your table saw, zero it out, and set your blade to 90, 45, or anywhere in between. It is quick, easy, and accurate.

The digital angle finder is the one for trim. Find the angle quickly, then set your miter saw to match. It is very handy to have around.

Klein Bit Set and 6-Bit Carabiner
I have a problem with bits, and I know it. I did not own any Klein bits, so I bought this set. It has quarter inch and 5/16 nut drivers, a quarter inch socket adapter, and a bunch of bits, including two extended ones. Overall, it is a good set.

If you want bits on you at all times, the carabiner holds six of your most used ones. It is not load bearing, but it saves trips back to the toolbox. Clip it to your belt or to one of Klein's new D-ring ModBox accessories.

Klein Flick Scraper vs Flip Blade Utility Knife
I like the Klein flip blade utility knife, and the flick scraper adds one more thing. Flip the other end out and you have a scraper. The utility blade locks in a couple of positions. Because it is Klein, there is a wire stripper built into the middle.

Klein Electrician Tool Set in ModBox
I am not an electrician, but I picked this up because of how well it is laid out. The case is ModBox compatible and clips onto the system. The insert is precut for every tool, so everything has a spot.
You get wire strippers, pliers, snips, and two insulated screwdrivers. If you work on electrical at all, this is a good kit to have.

Frequently Asked Questions
What are the best Klein Tools to buy?
I would start with the Micro Ratchet Set, the Flip Socket with Screwdriver Handle, and the KNECT Master Set. The micro ratchet is under $30 and handy everywhere. The flip socket gives you SAE and metric in one tool. The master set is the one I wish I had bought first.
Are Klein Tools worth the money?
For most of what I bought, yes. Most of these are under $50, and they are well made and often impact rated. The one exception was the inspection camera, which I could not get to connect.
How do Klein KNECT pass-through sockets work?
The bolt passes through both the socket and the ratchet, so you can tighten it down and slide the tool right off. Add the extension and any socket works as a deep well socket. That is like getting two sockets for one.
Is the Klein inspection camera any good?
Not in my experience. It is about $100, and every time I followed the instructions, I got an error saying it could not connect. The manual did not help, and the reviews point the same direction. I would pass on it.
Is Klein ModBox as good as Packout?
For me, they are tied at the top. ModBox is not cheap plastic, and the drawers have real drawer slides. The rail attachments let you mount cases, hooks, and tool carriers, and they also fit the Klein portable workbench.
