Bosch is not playing around heading into 2026. The company just announced 39 new tools and accessories hitting the North American lineup. We are talking cordless nailers, angle grinders, rotary lasers, multimeters, miter saws, and specialty cutting accessories. All at once.

I got a sneak peek at some of these tools a few months back at the Lowe's Creator Summit, and I can tell you right now, a couple of them are going to move serious units. You can watch my hands-on video here: 731 Woodworks Bosch tour on YouTube.

Let's break down what is coming, what is worth your money, and what the new EXPERT platform actually means for guys already on the Bosch 18V battery system.

What is the Bosch EXPERT Line?

This is the headline of the whole drop. Bosch introduced the EXPERT designation in early 2026 as their high-output 18V platform branding. It covers both corded and cordless tools, and it is built on top of the existing 18V system you may already own.

Your current Bosch 18V batteries still work with these new EXPERT tools. No forced ecosystem swap.
New Platform

Bosch 18V EXPERT High Power Batteries

EXBA18V-60 · EXBA18V-80
Tablet Cell Tech Built-in Diagnostic 6Ah & 8Ah

When I was at the Lowe's Summit, Tom from Bosch walked me through the new EXPERT battery tech, and the upgrade is real. The cells went from the standard 21700 cell to a tablet cell design. Same physical size. More power. A 4Ah EXPERT battery now does the work of a 6Ah or 8Ah in the older configuration.

A few other things stood out:

  • Pull-down release lever instead of the stiff push-in tab (huge in cold weather)
  • Battery health check built in (hold the button 3 seconds and it cycles every cell)
  • Improved cooling fin design that staggers the cells so they do not touch
  • One battery platform across the whole lineup from 4Ah to 12Ah

If you have ever been on a jobsite wondering whether your tool or your battery is the problem, that built-in diagnostic is going to save you a real headache.

The Headline Tool: Bosch EXPERT Glide Miter Saw

Editor's Pick

Bosch EXPERT 12" Dual-Bevel Glide Miter Saw

Model: EXCM341-305GD
12 Inch Blade 13-7/16" Cut Shadow LED Articulating Arm

This is the one I am most excited about, and I got to put hands on it at the Summit.

The glide saw has been winning best-in-class awards for years. The reason is the articulating arm. There are no rails on this saw. That matters for two reasons.

First, you can push this saw all the way back against a wall or mount it on a bench in tight quarters. A rail system would punch right through your drywall. Second, durability. If you drop a rail-style miter saw off a truck tailgate, those rails are bending. The articulating arm on the Bosch can take a hit and keep cutting.

Other features worth noting:

  • 13-7/16 inch horizontal cutting capacity
  • Shadow LED cutline indicator (better than a laser if you ask me, especially outdoors)
  • Adjustable arm tension so you can dial in how smooth the glide feels
  • Sealed bushings to keep sawdust out of the moving parts

If you are buying a sliding miter saw this year, this is the one I would put on the short list.

EXPERT 18V Framing Nailers

21° & 30°

Bosch EXPERT 18V Framing Nailers

EXNH18V-90MRN · EXNH18V-90MDN
Air-Spring System 3 Nails/Second 117 PSI Bump Fire Mode

Bosch is bringing both a 21-degree and a 30-degree framing nailer to the EXPERT line.

The interesting part is the air-spring system. No compressor. No fuel cell. There is a Schrader valve on the tool itself that lets you top off pressure up to 117 PSI right on the job.

Bump fire mode pushes up to three nails per second. That puts it in the same conversation as the Milwaukee and DeWalt framing nailers that have dominated the cordless category for the last few years.

For framing crews already on the Bosch 18V platform, this is a real alternative to dragging a compressor and hose to every wall.

Bosch 18V Sidewinder Circular Saw

Bosch 18V 7-1/4" Sidewinder Circular Saw

Model: GKS18V-68-2N
Left Blade Center Balance 7-1/4 Inch

If you are on the West Coast or you just prefer a sidewinder over a worm drive, Bosch has a new one out now. The blade sits on the left side, which most right-handed framers actually prefer.

The weight balance is solid because the battery sits in the center of the tool instead of hanging off the back. For a framer pulling the saw through plate stock all day, that center of gravity makes a real difference.

Plenty of power on tap when you run it on the new EXPERT batteries too. This one is already shipping, so you do not have to wait on it like the miter saw.

Bosch 18V Brushless Reciprocating Saw

Smart Cutoff

Bosch 18V Brushless Reciprocating Saw

Model: GSA18V-280N
Soft Start Anti-Kickback Orbital Action

I also got hands on the new Bosch 18V reciprocating saw at the Summit. Variable speed and orbital action are built in, but the standout feature is soft start. The blade does not jump or dance when you pull the trigger.

It also has anti-kickback control similar to what you find in their drills. If the blade binds, the tool stops instead of trying to throw itself out of your hands. Once you cut through the hard material, it shuts itself off automatically.

For cutting black iron, EMT, or threaded rod on commercial work, the safety features alone are worth a look.

EXPERT 18V Angle Grinders

6 Speeds

Bosch 18V EXPERT 5-6" Angle Grinder

Model: EXWS18V-15SB18X
Kickback Control Soft Start Anti-Vibration

The new EXPERT 5-6 inch angle grinders come with six speed settings, kickback control, soft start, and an anti-vibration side handle. These are not flashy features. They are the things you actually care about when you run a grinder all day long.

Kickback control especially. Anybody who has had a grinder grab and bite on a cut knows exactly how fast that tool can hurt you. Built-in protection on a daily-use tool is worth the upgrade.

EXPERT 6-Inch Random Orbit Sander

HEPA Filtered

Bosch 18V EXPERT 6" Random Orbit Sander

Model: EXEX18V-150-5N
3/16" Orbit 5,000-10,000 RPM Self-Cleaning

I am in the middle of a renovation right now, and dust management is the difference between a good day and a miserable one. This sander runs a 3/16-inch orbit at 5,000 to 10,000 RPM with a HEPA-filtered dust canister and a self-cleaning mechanism.

For finish work on cabinets, doors, or interior trim, that level of dust control matters. Anyone who has tried to sand drywall mud or finish a tabletop without proper extraction knows exactly what I am talking about.

Rotary Lasers for Electricians & HVAC Pros

Green Beam

Bosch 18V Green-Beam Rotary Lasers

GRL18V-31K · GRL18V-34K · GRL18V-34P
1,500 Ft Range ±1/16" @ 100ft 18V or C Battery

The measuring tool lineup is where Bosch is leaning into pro electrician and HVAC trades.

The new 18V green-beam rotary lasers come in two flavors. A horizontal-only version and a horizontal/vertical kit. They reach up to 1,500 feet of working range with 1/16-inch accuracy at 100 feet. They also run on either the 18V battery platform or standard C batteries.

Bi-color LED display reads green for level and red for slope. Simple, fast read at a distance.

Multimeters, Clamp Meters & Voltage Testers

IP54 Rated

Bosch Multimeters & Voltage Testers

GDM600-15 · GMC600-15 · GVT600-13
True RMS 600A Clamp Self-Test

The True RMS digital multimeter, the 600A clamp meter, and the contact voltage tester round out the metering lineup. Small tools. Big quality-of-life upgrades on commercial jobs.

Both meters are rated IP54 or better with rubber-reinforced housings. Translation: they will survive getting dropped on a slab or rained on in the bed of a truck.

The contact voltage tester has a continuous self-test feature that checks the tool's own operation during use. That is the kind of detail that saves you from chasing a phantom problem all afternoon.

Other New Bosch Tools Worth a Look

Jobsite Gear

Right Angle Drill, Die Grinder & More

Plus Floodlight & Bluetooth Speaker

A handful more dropped in this release that did not make it into the demo at the Summit, but they are worth flagging.

The right angle drill is going to interest plumbers and electricians running bores between studs. The die grinder rounds out the metalworking side of the 18V platform. The floodlight and Bluetooth speaker are the kind of jobsite gear that makes long days easier.

The Verdict

Should You Buy Into the Bosch EXPERT Platform?

Here is the honest answer. If you are already on Bosch 18V, this is a no-brainer expansion. The batteries work across the whole lineup, the new EXPERT cells boost power without changing the form factor, and the tools themselves are filling real gaps (specifically the framing nailer and the miter saw).

If you are not on Bosch yet, the miter saw and the rotary lasers are strong enough on their own to justify a look. The $100 price drop on the glide saw with more features built in is the kind of move that should make Milwaukee and DeWalt pay attention.

Thirty-nine new tools in one drop is not a refresh. It is a platform push. We will see how the rollout plays out over the next twelve months, but the early read is positive.
