How To Make a Custom Cutting Board with No Special Tools

I must admit that I have never made a cutting board before attempting these. I never really wanted to because I was little nervous about messing up and not making a good cutting board. However, I am glad to say that I love how these four boards turned out. I was able to use exotic and domestic hardwoods to make a beautiful, custom looking cutting board with ease. These are kits from wtghardwoods.com that come pre-cut and milled. That means you don’t need a planer or a jointer to make an amazing looking edge grain cutting board with just some clamps and a sander. Now, admittedly having a planer will make your life so much easier and require a lot less sanding but it can be done without one. That is awesome because a lot of beginner woodworkers don’t have a planer or a jointer to be able to mill down the material to the correct thicknesses.
