Why the DEWALT DW618K Router Kit Is Worth It
Power is the big story here. The 2 1/4 HP max motor and 12 amp electronic variable speed system keep the cut smooth when the wood gets dense and the bit starts working harder.
Soft start takes the jolt out of startup, so the router doesn’t kick in your hands when it comes up to speed.
Full feedback control helps hold RPM under load. That means cleaner, more predictable cuts from start to finish.
Setup is quick too, with a micro fine depth ring and quick release motor latches for accurate depth changes and fast bit swaps.
